Smith Tabbed CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – For the second time this season, College of Charleston junior goalkeeper Cameron Smith (Lexington, S.C.) was tabbed the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday.
Smith earned his second shutout of the season as the Cougars upset No. 16-ranked Coastal Carolina, 1-0, in an overtime thriller on April 11 at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. He saved all seven of the Chanticleers' attempts on frame in the 97-minute game - one shy of his career high of eight saves at Elon on April 4. It marked his first career win in goal and second career shutout for the Cougars.
