CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston men's soccer team (2-2-2, 0-2) fell behind midway through the first half and was unable to counter in a 1-0 loss to Elon (4-3, 2-0) at Patriots Point on Saturday afternoon. It was the first home CAA match for the Cougars.Â
The Phoenix found the back of the net in the 27th minute to grab a 1-0 lead. CofC was unable to produce an equalizer.Â
The loss drops CofC to 0-2 in CAA play, while Elon goes to 2-0.Â

- Senior Jake Nicholson played the full 90 minutes, led the Cougars with three shots and recorded a shot on goal
- The other shot on goal for CofC was taken by sophomore Lucas Cedermark
- Senior goalkeeper Cameron Smith notched six saves while allowing one goal

- Charleston was unable to replicate the offensive output from a game ago, in which the Cougars scored five goals against UNC-Asheville
