CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston men's soccer team (2-3-2, 0-2) dropped a road contest, 3-0, at Georgia Southern (4-4, 0-0) on Wednesday night. 

The Eagles got on the board in the 26th minute, grabbing a 1-0 lead that they would carry into the half time break. Charleston fought to get back into the match, but Georgia Southern would score game-clinching goals in the 73rd and 85th minutes. 
 
The Eagles were able to keep Charleston off the board for the remainder of the match to claim the 3-0 win.

• Daniel Pereira, Jude Swails, and Cas Van Altena all played the match's full 90 minutes
• Rio Murray, Lucas Cedermark and Eneko Sancho each recorded a shot on goal
• Senior goalkeeper Cameron Smith made four saves in the game

Game Notes

• The Eagles converted three of their four shots on goal
• This was only Georgia Southern's 4th win in 20 tries against Charleston
• The Cougars posted a 2-1-2 record against non-conference opponents this season
