CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team (1-6-1) continues its home stand as it faces Jacksonville (5-2-1) on Sunday at Patriots Point. The game is set to kickoff at 12 PM.

In its last match, Charleston lost a hard-fought battle to Georgia, 1-0. The contest with Jacksonville is the last nonconference match before CAA action begins on September 26th.

• The freshmen class continues to be outstanding for the College of Charleston. Delaney Dawes leads the squad in points and shots and is tied for the lead in goals
•    Dawes, along with fellow rookies Mary Alexander and Shae Yocum, have started all eight matches this season
• Senior goalie Meredith Holton leads the CAA with 37 total saves this season.
•    Holton's 11 saves against Georgia were the most she has recorded in a single match in her career

About the Dolphins
• Jacksonville is off to a 5-2-1 start, including two shutout wins over South Carolina State
• The Dolphins were defeated in ther last time out, 2-1, by Charleston Southern
•    Freshman Selma Fohrer leads Jacksonville with three goals this season

• Charleston and Jacksonville have met on the pitch ten times, and the Cougars are 7-3 all time against the Dolphins
