CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's soccer team (2-4-2, 0-3) will welcome Furman (2-5, 1-1) to Patriots Point on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. for a non-conference contest. It is one of two remaining non-conference matches left on the schedule.
In its last time out, the Cougars suffered a tough loss to Drexel. Furman is coming off a win over Belmont in which the Paladins snapped a four-game losing streak.

• Senior Rio Murray scored his first goal of the season - and fourth of his career - in Saturday's game against Drexel
• Murray is tied with sophomore Kane Ritchie for the team lead in points with five
• Ritchie also is tied with fellow sophomore Jakob Kristensen for the club lead in goals with two
• Senior goalkeeper Cameron Smith is second in the conference with 40 saves and a save percentage of .800 to his name this season. He has posted three shutouts.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
• Of the seven goals scored by the Cougars this season, five have come off assists
• The game-winning goal at South Carolina came off a combination assist from Jake Nicholson and Rio Murray
• Murray and Nicholson lead the team with three assists each

• Furman has posted a 2-5 record, including a 1-1 mark in SOCON play in 2021
• The Paladins are looking for its first road win of the season after losing its first two away games
