DELAND, Fla. --- The College of Charleston beach volleyball team fell to No. 19 Stetson and No. 18 South Carolina in a pair of 5-0 setbacks to conclude the weekend at the Stetson Spring Fling on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cougars battled for every ball in a pair of hard-fought duals against two ranked opponents on Saturday in No. 19 Stetson and No. 18 South Carolina. Stetson won the morning match in straight sets before the Cougars pushed South Carolina to three sets in two flights in the afternoon session.

• Kyra Thompson and Gabi Bailey pushed South Carolina's four's to three sets in a 15-21, 21-12, 10-15 decision.
• Maria Zweig and Ella Reames were unable to take advantage of a 1-0 lead in a 21-19, 16-21, 12-15 setback to the Gamecocks' third pairing.
