ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. --- Gabi Bailey and Kyra Thompson added a pair of straight-set sweeps to complete a perfect 8-0 weekend and help the College of Charleston beach volleyball team (RV, AVCA) extend its win streak to three matches and cap a 3-1 weekend at Eckerd College's Battle on the Bay on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cougars won their second straight with a 4-1 victory against Missouri State highlighted by wins in the first four flights. Charleston then capped the weekend in style with their second sweep of the campaign in a 5-0 win over Eckerd.
 
PAIR OF THE DAY
Sky Benjamin and Sofie Vogel pushed their win streak to three with a pair of victories in the top flight. The duo opened the day cruising to a 21-10, 21-14 win against Missouri State before edging Eckerd's one's in three sets, 23-21, 19-21, 17-15.
 
NOTABLES

• Thompson and Bailey are 4-1 now on the season as a pair after not dropping a set this weekend.
• Emma Falk and Maria Zweig ran their record to 3-0 as a duo with a straight-set win over Eckerd and a three-set victory against Missouri State.
