Pups on the Pitch Waiver
CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston returns to action on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game against new CAA member Monmouth at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point.
Saturday marks the first Pups on the Pitch game with fans invited to bring their furry friends to enjoy the match. Everyone who brings their dog must fill out a waiver (see link above) and have proof of their dog vaccinations.
Charleston is 1-0-1 in the CAA with a win over Delaware and draw with UNCW. The Cougars have not been undefeated through three conference games since joining the CAA in 2013.
The Hawks started the season with a pair of non-conference wins, including a victory over a St. John's team that was receiving Top 25 votes, but have dropped both league matches against UNCW and Hofstra.
The teams have split two previous meetings with both winning at home. The Cougars took the most recent matchup, a 1-0 victory at Patriots Point in 2017.
In last Saturday's 1-1 tie at UNCW, Tom Wilson scored his first career goal in the 61st minute to forge the deadlock and Olly Marshall made it stand up with three saves. Marshall is ranked fourth in the CAA with a 1.00 GAA and fifth with a .750 save percentage.
Chris Elliott has two goals, followed by Wilson and Leonardo D'Ambrosio with one. The Hawks have gotten one goal each from Kristian Loenvig, Luke McBeth and Ben Zakowski. Eryk Dymora is third in the CAA in GAA (0.75) and save percentage (.786).
