
Marshall Earns CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week Honors

RICHMOND, VA. – College of Charleston freshman goalkeeper Olly Marshall has been named the CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Cougars win their conference opener on Saturday.
Marshall, from Newcastle, England, picked up his first career victory and clean sheet with a 2-0 win over Delaware at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point. The Charleston defense allowed only seven shots, and Marshall stopped five of them.
Marshall has allowed only three goals while playing all 270 minutes in three matches. His 1.00 goals against average is tied for fourth in the CAA, and he is fifth with a .750 save percentage.
The Cougars are 1-1-1 and 1-0 in the CAA. They return to action with another conference match on Saturday at UNCW.
