Men’s Cross Country to Compete in USATF Championships

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's cross country team travels to Richmond, Va., to run in the USATF Championships on Saturday.
The championships consist of six separate races, with the 10k Open Men's event starting at 2:50 p.m.. The Cougars have seven athletes entered, including Hammer Blair, Tucker Green, Joshua Keifer, Dylan McTigue, Nik Pettinga, Jackson Reid and Jack Wedge.
"The USATF Championships provides our men's cross country team with an addition competitive opportunity by extending their season into the winter," said assistant coach Chris Bailey. "We look forward to seeing them test themselves against college, professional and other post-collegiate athletes."
Blair and Wedge led Charleston runners three times each during the fall season. Blair was first among his teammates at the CAA Championships, and Wedge did so at the NCAA Southeast Regional.
