
Season Opener Suspended Due to Rain

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston softball team's season opener against Chattanooga was delayed due to rain in the bottom of the first inning with one out. The game is scheduled to be resumed on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Karlee Hughes homered in her first career at bat to put the Cougars up 1-0 just before the game was stopped. Caroline Conner struck out two batters and allowed one hit in one inning in her first collegiate appearance.
Following the resumption of the CofC-Chattanooga game, the Cougars are slated to take on Indiana State at 12:30. The schedule for Sunday remains undetermined. Check CofC Softball social media for updates.
