Box Score CHARLESTON, S.C.—The College of Charleston women's tennis team edged Illinois State 4-3 at the College of Charleston Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.
 
Illinois State picked up the early 1-0 lead when they took the doubles point with wins on courts 1 and 3. Ella Faessler and Nicole Stephens grabbed a win on court 2.
 
Slade Coetzee picked up a quick win for Charleston on court 1. Faessler battled her way to victory with a 7-5 and 6-1 win on court 4. Peyton Brotzman picked up a clutch win in the third set to tie the match at three all. Stephens in her own third set fought hard for a 7-5 win.
