How It Happened

Charleston and UNCW split a pair of three-set matches on courts two and four to open play but the Seahawks would take the final three for a 4-1 decision.

Charleston rebounded quickly in their second match of the day jumping out to a 2-0 lead on two and four and never looking back.

The Cougars swept on four of the five courts against Erksine then completed a comeback win on five to make it a clean 5-0 sweep.

Sofie Vogel and Tynley Smeltzer paced the Cougars with a 2-0 day on court four taking a three-set thriller over their UNCW counterparts then sweeping away their opponent from Erskine.
