Vidovic Scores First Career Goal in 2-1 Loss to Mercer

CHARLESTON, S.C. -Â Shea Vidovic recorded her first career goal in College of Charleston's 2-1 loss to Mercer on Thursday night at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point.Â
Charleston and Mercer went head-to-head in the first half as both teams fired eight shots. The difference was Vidovic finding net with ten minutes left off an assist from Lilli Ray. Â
The Bears scored the equalizer just three minutes into the second half. Eight minutes later, Mercer took advantage of a corner kick to add another tally and shift the momentum towards the visitors. Â
Izzy Arnold attempted to bring the Cougars even with five minutes left, but her shot was stopped by Mercer's Lindsay Bell. Â
Vidovic paced the Cougars with three shots, followed by Mary Alexander, Jenna Snead and Olivia Freitas with two each. Savannah Barron played the first half and did not allow a goal while recording five saves. Bailey Wood entered after intermission and posted four saves. Â
Up Next: Charleston will travel to Statesboro on Sunday to face Georgia Southern. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.Â
