CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston will look to jumpstart its season Thursday when the Cougars open their CAA schedule with a 7 p.m. game against Hampton at Ralph Lundy Field.
The game will feature a Throwback Thursday theme. Music played will be from the late 1990s and early 2000s, and clear fanny packs will be given to the first 100 students. It is also part of the Fall Rewards program for students with Uber vouchers offered to help them get to Patriots Point.
Four different Cougars – Mary Alexander, Bella Antonio, Avery Nassetta and Shea Vidovic – have scored goals this season, and Alexander also has an assist for a team-leading three points. Savannah Barron has started all five games and has 15 saves.
Hampton is led by Sanaa Perry with two goals, and Alexis Deveaux has stopped 54 shots.
The game is the second all time between the two teams with Charleston winning 3-0 at home a year ago. The Cougars are seeking their first win in a conference opener since defeating Delaware in 2019.
