CHARLESTON, S.C.- The College of Charleston men's tennis team has released their spring schedule, head coach John Bruner announced Friday. The team will host five matches, as well as the Alumni Match on January 20.
"With a team full of experience, we are excited to get the season started quickly," said Bruner. "We have a schedule that helps us begin competing early in the spring and keeps a steady flow of matches through April with a focus on CAA matches."
The Cougars will kick off their spring slate in Blacksburg, Va. as they take on the Virginia Tech Hokies followed by Southern Virginia in a doubleheader (Jan.15). They will also face five away matches in February before returning home on February 25 to welcome Wofford College to Patriots Point (Feb. 25).
Charleston will also have a home stretch of matches in March, hosting UNC Wilmington (March 4) and NC Central (March 5), then hosting Delaware (March 24) and Drexel (March 27) to close the month.
The Cougars will end the regular season at home against local rival the Citadel on April 13 before traveling to Williamsburg, Va. for the CAA Championships (April 18-20).
"There is a clear path to growing as a team, being at our best in April."
