
Men's Tennis Readies for CAA Quartefinal Match Against Drexel

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The No. 4 College of Charleston men's tennis team is set to face No. 5 Drexel in the CAA Championship Quarterfinals on Saturday morning.
The championship will be hosted by William & Mary at the Mackesy Tennis Center and first serve for the Cougars' quarterfinal match is set for 9 a.m.
MATCH #17 — No. 4 College of Charleston (11-5, 2-1) vs. No. 5 Drexel (13-3, 3-2) | Friday, April 17 | 9 a.m. | Mackesy Tennis Center | Williamsburg, Va.

SCOUTING THE DRAGONS — The Dragons went 13-3 overall, and 3-2 in conference play during the regular season. Drexel heads into the CAA Championship on a four match winning streak.
MATCHUP HISTORY VS. DREXEL — The Cougars are 3-1 all-time against the Dragons, and Charleston defeated Drexel 4-3 at the Turner Tennis Center earlier this season.
CAA CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY – The Cougars have made three total CAA Championship match appearances and won their lone title in 2016 as CofC defeated UNCW 4-3 in the championship match.
LAST TIME OUT – The College of Charleston men's tennis closed out the regular season with a 4-3 win at Davidson at the Davidson Tennis Courts on April 11.
AWARDS – Jakub Solarski earned two Coastal Athletic Association Player of the Week honors. Most recently, Solarski earned the award on March 10 after going 4-0 in singles and earning five total wins for the Cougars during the week. He also garnered the honor on February 17 after winning all three of his matches, including two singles victories in slot No. 2.
