CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team is set to host Elon on Sunday, October 13. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
The Cougars last took the field on Thursday night, in a 1-1 draw to Towson. The first goal of the matchup came in the 21st minute when a foul in the box gave the Tigers a penalty kick. With a shot to the right corner, Towson was able to convert to take the 1-0 lead.
The Cougars answered in the 37th minute, when a ball from Faith Slimmer found Emma Wennar in the far-right corner. A cross into the box slipped through the Towson defenders, giving Caroline Fowlkes finish into the back of the net to even the game at 1-1.
Elon currently sits 10-1-1 on the season and 5-1 in conference play. At the top of the CAA, The Phoenix most recently faced William & Mary, taking the 2-1 win. Their only loss on the season came against Towson, in a tight 2-1 matchup.
