CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's soccer team will travel to Buies Creek to face Campbell on Saturday, October 19.
The Cougars wrapped up nonconference play on Wednesday, taking a 2-1 win over North Florida.
The Cougars got on the board early, when a steal in the final third from
Ryan Watson in the fifth minute gave him a shot, which he planted into the far-left corner of the net. With the finish, Watson tallied his first career goal.
Adil Iggoute doubled the lead for Charleston in the 14
th minute, when a span of passes from the Cougar offense found the Iggoute in the middle, who buried the ball into the bottom right corner.
The Camels sit 6-4-4 on the season and 2-2-1 in conference play, most recently falling to Hofstra by a score of 1-0 in a tight battle.
The two teams will be meeting for the first time since the 2006 season, where the Cougars took the 3-1 win in Buies Creek. Charleston currently holds an 8-3-1 record against Campbell.
