BUIES CREEK, N.C. – College of Charleston women's soccer dominated Campbell on Sunday afternoon 4-0 to clinch a spot in the conference tournament.

The Cougars came out hot, scoring within the first two minutes when Avery Nassetta took a shot outside the box, hitting the net outside of the goalkeeper's reach.

Less than five minutes later, Emma Wennar found the back of the net to double the lead for the Cougars when a through ball gave Wennar a shot on the near post. A third was tallied less than two minutes later when Shea Vidovic earned a breakaway, taking a shot which deflected off the defender and into the net. All three goals in the first half were scored within a seven-minute time frame.

Faith Slimmer finished off the scoring for the Cougars in the second half, adding a fourth in the 71st minute. The Charleston offense tallied 22 shots in the matchup, while limiting the Camels to seven shots.

With the win, the Cougars earned a spot in the CAA Tournament for the first time since the 2018 season. Charleston will travel to the No.2 seed Stony Brook to begin postseason play.
