CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston snapped its three-match losing streak with a three-set victory (25-18, 25-14 and 25-11) against Hampton Friday evening in TD Arena.

The Cougars improve to 18-8 overall and 10-3 in the CAA while Hampton falls to 0-25 and 0-13 in league action.

Charleston hit .382 as a unit, led by
Emily Dykes' .455 and
Caitlyn Callahan's .429 attacking percentages.

WHEN THE GAME WAS DECIDED:
- Charleston went on an 11-0 run to close out the third set which saw freshman Cole Crews head to the service line 10 consecutive times to help the Cougars to victory.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST HAMPTON:
- Charleston had four players with seven-plus kills, led by Dykes' 11.
- 11 of the 12 players to appear in the match for CofC recorded a dig.
- Cailyn Bolser tallied three kills and three blocks while hitting .400 in her second straight start.
- Callahan's first kill of the day gave her 900 for her collegiate career.
- The Cougars hit .520 in the second set, the second-best attacking percentage in a frame this season.
- The team's .382 hitting percentage in the match was the third highest in a contest this season.

- Charleston is 4-0 overall against Hampton and played the Pirates in Charleston for the first time in program history.
- Head coach Jason Kepner has reached double-digit conference wins for the 14th time in his Charleston career.
- The Cougars are 14-1 at home, the most wins since 2017 when they also went 14-1 in TD Arena.Â
- CofC's 270.5 blocks are the most in a season since the team had 280.5 in 2017, which is the ninth-most in a season in program history.
- The Cougars now have three players reach the century mark in kills in conference play after Dykes' performance.
- Charleston had just six errors Friday, the third fewest in a match this season.
- CofC has held opponents to a .130 hitting pct. or worse in 14 contests.
