Cougars Return Home to Host North Dakota

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team will return home to host North Dakota on Sunday, September 1 at 1:00 p.m.
The Cougars faced Wofford on Thursday, defeating the Terriers 3-0 to improve to 4-1 on the season.
Charleston began the scoring early, taking a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute when a long shot from Emma Wennar found the back of the net for her second goal of the season.
The Cougars doubled their lead in the 63rd minute, as Millie Cluxton won a battle in the box to score her first career goal. Faith Slimmer followed with the third goal, only one minute later, on a breakaway for her third goal of the season.
Charleston faces North Dakota for the first time in history, with the Fighting Hawks making the trip to the Carolinas for a pair of games. North Dakota faced North Carolina on Thursday, falling 3-0 to the Tarheels.
The Fighting Hawks start their season with a 2-1-2 record, competing in the Summit League conference.
