CHARLESTON, S.C.-  Emilie von Finckenstein posted a T18 finish to lead the Cougars at the 21st Annual Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall Club.

No. 6 Auburn won the team title with a 5-under performance while Maryland's Nicha Kanpai won the individual title with a 7-under tournament. Charleston finished in 12th place, defeating two Power Four teams.

von Finckenstein posted a 2-under final round to climb the leaderboard from her T30 day two finish. The sophomore had four birdies during Tuesday's final round. 

The Cougars return to action on September 23 at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational in Asheboro. North Carolina. Charleston will serve as the host school.
