Women's Soccer Remains in New York to face Stony Brook

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team will travel to Stony Brook On Sunday, September 22 to face the Seawolves.
The Cougars faced Hofstra in their CAA opener on Thursday, falling to Hofstra in a tight 2-1 matchup. Despite outshooting the Pride 20-8, Charleston was unable to find the back of the net.
Stony Brook begins conference play versus the Cougars, finishing their nonconference schedule with a 5-2-1 record. The Seawolves have dominated defensively, not allowing a goal in the last three-straight games.
Charleston has faced the Seawolves twice, with both results ending in ties. The teams last met at Patriots Point during the 2023 season where a late goal from Delaney Dawes tied the game at 1-1, with both teams leaving with a point. In 2022, the matchup between the two ended in a scoreless draw.
