ELON, N.C. – College of Charleston had its highest attacking percentage of the season in a four-set victory (23-25, 25-22, 25-11 and 25-22) at Elon Sunday afternoon, sweeping the season series.

Charleston (9-4, 2-0 CAA) extended its winning streak to six matches while Elon slips to 6-7 and 0-2 in league play.

Emily Banitt tied her career-high with 19 kills while
Caitlyn Callahan registered 10 kills and a .381 attacking percentage. Defensively, Callahan was part of seven of Charleston's eight total blocks in the victory.

WHEN THE GAME WAS DECIDED:
- Down 11-12 in the fourth set, Callahan put down a kill to level the set at 12 and the Cougars never looked back, holding the advantage the rest of the way to win the contest.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST ELON:
- Charleston hit a season-best .266 Sunday afternoon.
- The Cougars had 13-plus kills in all four sets and hit a game-best .344 in the third set.
- CofC held an opponent below .100 attacking percentage for the fourth match this season, keeping Elon to a .097 line in the win.
- Five different Cougars had seven-or-more kills, paced by Banitt's 19 and Callahan's 10.
- Defensively, Tynley Smeltzer had a game-high 15 digs while Banitt and Emma Appleman registered 11 and 13, respectively.
- Hannah Scott dished out 39 assists and had a career-high three service aces.

OF NOTE:
- Charleston improved to 33-5 against Elon all-time and 12-2 in four sets.
- CofC has swept the season series over the Phoenix in three of the five last series.
- The Cougars began CAA action 2-0 for the sixth time since joining the conference.
- Charleston held Elon to 11 points in the third set, the second instance of the weekend Elon had just 11 points in a frame. The 11 points are the fewest points allowed by the Cougars in a set this season.
- Banitt picked up a career-best 19 kills for the second time this season and fourth in her collegiate career.
- Scott picked up her 780th career assist Sunday while Callahan's tenth kill was the 800th of her career.
- Head coach Jason Kepner earned his 200th career conference victory. Between the SoCon and CAA, Kepner is 200-70, good for a .741 winning percentage in league play.
