CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston recorded 14 service aces in a straight set win (25-10, 25-17 and 25-12) against Campbell Friday in TD Arena.
Emily Banitt had eight service aces as the Cougars extended its winning streak to seven matches.

Charleston is now 10-4 overall and 3-0 in the CAA while Campbell slips to 2-11 and 0-3 in league action.

The Cougars came out of the gates hot, hitting .483 in the first set, the best hitting percentage in a frame this season. The team's 14 service aces are tied for the second-most in a match in program history and most since Aug. 26, 2022.

WHEN THE GAME WAS DECIDED:
- The Cougars roared out to a 19-8 lead in the first set, and never looked back. In the third set, CofC jumped out to a 12-2 advantage.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST CAMPBELL:
- Charleston bested Sunday's previous season-high of a .266 attacking percentage at Elon with a .363 showing Friday against the Camels.
- In addition to Banitt's eight service aces, the graduate tallied 11 digs and eight kills.
- Banitt had four straight service aces in the third set and five across a six-point stretch.
- Caitlyn Callahan had nine kills and a .692 attacking percentage, tallying four blocks and zero errors.
- CofC allowed just 39 points across the three sets.
- Charleston held Campbell to a .084 attacking percentage in the win.
- Defensively, four different Cougars had seven-plus digs.

OF NOTE:
- Charleston is 15-4 against Campbell all-time and 9-3 in three set matches.
- CofC's seven-match winning streak is the longest since the Cougars won 15 consecutive contests in 2017.
- The Cougars' 14 service aces were tied for the second-most in program history (Sept. 7, 2013, vs. South Carolina State) and most in a match since the program-record 17 service aces Aug. 26, 2022, against Fresno State.
- Charleston has had 10-plus service aces in two of the last three matches.
- Banitt's eight service aces were a career-high and are tied with McKala Rhodes for the second-most in a contest in CofC history. Rhodes recorded eight on Sept. 4, 2018, against SC State.
- Allie Holland had three blocks in the win and sits one shy of eclipsing 500 career blocks.
- Hannah Scott tied her career-high with three service aces of her own.
