Equestrian Begins 2024-25 Campaign on Road
CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston equestrian begins its seasons on the road with the NCEA squad competing at Centenary Saturday, Sept. 28 and at Lynchburg Sunday, Sept. 29. The IHSA team competes against South Carolina and Wofford Sept. 28 and 29 in Aiken, S.C.
"I think it's safe to say that coach Hope King and I are extremely excited, humbled and grateful for this weekend ahead," said head coach Natasha Vitkovic. "It will be the first time in program history that our equestrian team will divide to compete in 4 individual meets with 2 rosters, as one team.
Coach King will be hitting the road to Lynchburg, Va. to ride the NCEA roster against single Discipline No. 1 ranked Lynchburg University on Friday and then Centenary University on Saturday. Our IHSA roster will be competing in Aiken, S.C. on Saturday and Sunday, those shows being hosted by USC IHSA and Wofford College.
We just completed a very strong weekend of scrimmages and we both feel very confident and prepared. We are super excited for our student-athletes and the College of Charleston and are looking forward to getting in the show ring to start off the this season strong."
