CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Competing for the second time this fall, the Charleston women's tennis team will send five players to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Carolina Regional Championships this week. The tournament will be held at the Chewning Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, N.C. from October 16-21.
"We're excited to test our skills against arguably the toughest region in the country," Head Coach
Angelo Anastopoulo said. "We're competing in a strong field, but we're up for the challenge and we look forward to competing this week."
Oziera Ahmad,
Marra Bruce,
Sia Cariov and
Francesca Salvato will all compete in singles qualifying tomorrow morning, while
Jaiden McKee is set to compete in the main draw later on. Cariov and Salvato will also compete in the doubles tournament.
The top-two individuals and the winning doubles pair will qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles National Championships in Orlanda, Fla., which will be held from November 18-23.
Singles qualifying play begins tomorrow at 9 a.m. When made available, all start times and results can be found
