Men's Soccer Set to Host North Florida

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's soccer team returns home for a non-conference matchup against the North Florida Ospreys at Patriots Point on Tuesday, October 7 at 6:00 p.m.

All fans are encouraged to wear black to cheer on the Cougars!

LAST TIME OUT Charleston enters the match 4-7-1 (1-3-1) after a 3-2 loss at Campbell on Saturday evening. The Cougars fell behind 3-0 before Ben Bagshaw netted his fifth goal of the season and Pavel Dashin scored his third of the year to bring Charleston within one with 10 minutes to play. Despite a late rally and attempts from the Cougars to even the match, the Camels held on for a 3-2 win on Saturday evening at Eakes Athletics Complex.

SCOUTING THE OSPREYS — North Florida comes into the contest with an overall record of 8-3 and a 2-0 mark in ASUN play. The Ospreys began the season 1-3, but have since gone 7-0 and outscored their opponents 22-3 during their win streak. North Florida is 5-3 in road matches, and the Ospreys are led by redshirt senior Jaxon Reinhardt who has five goals and one assist on the year.

STAT LEADERS — Ben Bagshaw leads the Cougars with five goals and 12 points. Stian Bendvold, Pavel Dashin, and Ezra White all have three assists on the year, and goalie Jourdan Schumacher has 32 saves with a goals against average of 1.4.

MATCHUP HISTORY — The Cougars have a 4-1-2 all-time record against the Ospreys, including a 2-1 win at Patriots Point last year.
