Brzovic Earns Third CAA Player of the Week Award

CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston senior Ante Brzovic has been named the CAA Player of the Week. Brzovic is the first player to be named CAA Player of the Week three times so far this season.

Brzovic averaged 23.7 points and 9.0 rebounds in a 2-1 week for the Cougars, shooting 51 percent from the floor (25-49 FG) in three 20+ point performances. Charleston's big man started the week with 20 points and eight rebounds against William & Mary, knocking down 7-of-11 shots on the road. He followed it up with a 24-point, nine-rebound effort against N.C. A&T. Brzovic closed the three-game slate registering 27 points and 10 rebounds against Elon for his league-leading eighth double-double of the season.

Brzovic has reached double figures in scoring in seven straight contests and is the only player in the CAA to rank in the top ten in 19.0 points per game (3rd), 8.5 rebounds per game (2nd) and 3.1 assists per game (8th).
