CONWAY, S.C. -  The College of Charleston beach volleyball team opened the 2025 season with a pair of sweeps over Wingate and Erskine. 

The Cougars opened the day with a 5-0 win over Wingate before following it up with the same result over Erskine on day one of the Coastal Invite hosted by Coastal Carolina.

"It was great start to the season, managing the cold weather, and going 2-0," said head coach Damian Elder. "The team had fun, and our friends, family, and supporters were out in force!"

Charleston did not drop a single set all day, going 22-0 in the sand. The Cougars will return tomorrow with matches against ULM and Carson-Newman.
