CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston women's golf finished tied for eighth at the Briars Creek Invitational which wrapped up Tuesday on John's Island.
Adrian Anderson paced the Cougars in the 36-hole event at even-par 144 to tie for 13th. She birdied three holes in the second round to give her 10 for the tournament, tied for the second most in the field.
Molly Hardwick and
Emma Schimpf finished T28 at 3-over par, and
Mary Kathryn Talledo, competing as an individual, was another shot back and T32. Talledo matched Anderson with a team-best 73 in round two and was second overall on the par 5s at 5-under par.
Amy Staveley contributed three birdies over the final 18 to help the Cougars finish with a total of 26 to tie for eighth most.
Charleston returns to action March 31-April 1 at the Coach Mo Classic in St. Augustine, Fla.
