Track and Field Opens Outdoor Season

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston track and field team opens its outdoor season this weekend at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge while the pole vaulters compete at a meet hosted by Charleston Southern.
Several Cougar athletes in action are part of the school's outdoor record book, including three-time entries Sophia Brown (eighth, mile and 5000m; tenth, 3000m), Savannah Stoutt (third, 3000m steeplechase; fourth, 1500m; sixth, 800m) and Cayden Crismon (first, 10000m; third, 5000m; fourth, 3000m).
Other runners appearing in the top 10 include Andie Harding (fourth, 800m), Kirsten McKenna (tenth, 400m) and Emily Kreek (seventh, 100m hurdles). Kreek is also fourth in the heptathlon.
Pole vaulters Tonet Tallie and Madison Jent rank second and third, respectively, in school history. Abby Fush is fourth in the triple jump and seventh in the long jump while Kinsley Allen is third in the high jump.
