Women's Soccer to Play Northeastern on the Road

BOSTON, Mass. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team will play Northeastern Sunday, September 21 on Parsons Field with kickoff set for 12:00 p.m.  

Charleston's record is 5-3-1 after a dominating 4-0 performance over Monmouth. The Cougar's conference record is now 1-0.  

The College is on a four-game win streak with three consecutive clean sheets. Charleston has outscored its opponents 14-1 in the last four games. The Cougar offense outshot its opponents 159 to 69 with 69 shots on goal compared to the opponents 35.  

Conference play began Thursday, September 19 in West Long Branch, N.J. against Monmouth. Three Charleston players found goals including Bella Antonio finding her second career brace. Bubbles Dever recorded her first goal of the season and Emma Wennar scored her fourth of the season.  

In the last four games, seven Cougars have combined for Charleston's 14 goals. Antonio and Wennar lead the pack with four each. Faith Slimmer and Maggie Heffernan each scored three with Avery Nassetta scoring two. Millie Cluxton and Bubbles Dever have each recorded one goal.  

Northeastern's record is 1-4-3 with a 0-1 conference record as of Thursday, September 18. The Huskies opened CAA play hosting UNCW where they fell 1-0. The lone goal came from a Seahawk penalty kick.  

Sunday's match will mark the 12th meeting between the two teams. Charleston's record against the Huskies is 1-9-1. On the road, the Cougars are 0-5. The College has scored five times on Northeastern's goal. Most recently, Charleston hosted Northeastern in October of 2024 with the game ending in a 0-0 draw.
