RICHMOND, Va. – Bronwyn Conroy records her second straight week of Coastal Athletic Conference honors by being named Co-Rookie of the Week and Mackenzie Mathis picked up her first nod of the season being named Pitcher of the Week.

For the second consecutive weekend, the freshman outfielder swiped seven bases for the Cougars, including multiple stolen bases in three of the five contests. Conroy leads the NCAA in stolen bases with 14 total.
She started the weekend with a three-hit outing against Western Carolina before logging consecutive multi-run games with a pair of stolen bases against UMass and UConn. After driving in a pair of runs against Western Carolina on Sunday, Conroy went 4-for-4 at the dish with a double, three runs scored and two more swipes on the base path.
Mathis dazzled at the Lowcountry Classic, boasting a 2-0 record with a pair of complete games, a 1.31 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 16.0 innings of action.

Mathis pitched a pair of perfect frames and retired two batters on strikes against Penn in the weekend finale.
Charleston returns to action for their first road trip in Atlanta, Ga. playing in the I-75 Tournament hosted by Georgia Tech. The Cougars kickoff the weekend Thursday, February 19 at 1 p.m. playing Georgia Tech.
