Women's Tennis Heads to Louisiana for Two Matches

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston women's tennis team will continue its season with a pair of matches in New Orleans facing off against Nicholls State and the University of New Orleans.
We're excited at the opportunity to get to play two undefeated teams on their courts, head coach Angelo Anastopoulo said. We are looking forward to the challenge and it will be a plus to get to stay in New Orleans for the weekend!

MATCHUP HISTORY VS. NICHOLLS STATE — Saturday will be the first ever contest between Charleston and Nicholls.
SCOUTING NICHOLLS STATE — The Colonels are 3-0 this season, including a 7-0 victory against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Last season, the Colonels went 8-14 and 1-8 in their conference.
MATCHUP HISTORY VS. NEW ORLEANS — The Cougars are 1-0 all-time against the Privateers.
SCOUTING NEW ORLEANS — The Privateers are 5-0 this season with a 7-0 victory against both Mississippi Gulf Coast CC and Coastal Alabama CC. Last season they went 5-14 overall and 1-8 in their conference.
LAST TIME OUT – Last week, the Cougars secured a 4-3 victory over Presbyterian in Clinton, S.C.
UP NEXT – The Cougars will be back in action in Charleston on Friday, March 6 for a matchup against Buffalo. First serve is set for 10:00 a.m.
