
Charleston Sweeps Nicholls State

THIBODAUX, La. – The College of Charleston women's tennis team (2-3) swept Nicholls State (3-1) on Saturday afternoon.
Charleston took an early 1-0 lead as the Cougars won all three doubles courts. Jaiden McKee and Isabella De Luise won court three 6-1, while Oziera Ahmad and Riley Trinkle paired up for a 6-2 win in the No. 2 position and Sia Cariov and Francesca Salvato earned a 6-3 victory on court one.
In singles, Marra Bruce cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win in position No. 4, while Olivia Bull earned her first collegiate win with a 6-1, 6-1 straight set victory on court six. Riley Trinkle also won her first collegiate match as she clinched the contest for the Cougars with a 6-2, 6-1 win in position No. 5.
Oziera Ahmad collected a 6-2, 6-1 triumph in position No. 2, while Jaiden McKee defeated her opponent 7-5, 6-2 on court three and Sia Cariov completed the sweep for Charleston with a 6-2, 6-7 (5), 10-7 win in slot No. 1.
