Conroy Named Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, VA. – Bronwyn Conroy was named CAA Rookie of the Week Tuesday, March 17 after helping the Cougars win their second conference series of the season over Campbell.

Conroy helped Charleston pick up a pair of wins over Campbell on the road, tallying three hits, four runs scored, an RBI and two stolen bases.

After falling in Friday's series opener, the Marietta, Ga., product slapped an RBI triple to spark a three-run fifth inning that put the Cougars ahead in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Camels.

Her speed was on full display in Sunday's 10-9 victory as Conroy went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and a pair of steals. The freshman outfielder slashed .444/.474/.611 in the six games for Charleston last week.

Up next, Charleston hosts NC A&T at Patriots Point March 20 through the 22 for the third conference series of the season. Frist pitch Friday is set for 5 p.m.
