Johnson Tabbed CAA Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – College of Charleston graduate Dylan Johnson was named the Coastal Athletic Association Player of the Week.
Johnson batted .375 with a double, homer and seven RBI in Charleston's 3-1 week. The catcher hit .500 (6-for-12), scored five times and drove in seven in a CAA series win at William & Mary, including going 3-for-5 with three RBI in Friday's 16-10 win before homering and driving in three on Saturday. He went 2-for-3 with an RBI in Sunday's 4-0 victory and threw out 5-of-9 attempted base stealers in the week, throwing out at least one in each ballgame.
CofC is back in action April 21 at home when it faces Charleston Southern for a 6 p.m. ballgame at Patriots Point.

In 18 conference games, Johnson is batting .391 (27-for-69) with 16 runs scored, nine doubles, three home runs, 17 RBI and a 1.134 OPS. Defensively, Johnson has thrown out 10 of 29 attempted base stealers in league contests.
Charleston earned its fourth weekly honor and third different player of the week as Johnson joins freshmen Jake Amman (Player, March 2), sophomore Alex LaCoste (April 6) and Carter Harrington (Rookie, March 9).CofC is back in action April 21 at home when it faces Charleston Southern for a 6 p.m. ballgame at Patriots Point.
