Lenert Named CAA Offensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. - College of Charleston senior Matt Lenert earned his second CAA Offensive Player of the Week award of the season after leading the Cougars to a 2-0 week.
Lenert scored three goals across two victories, helping the Cougars defeat Winthrop, 4-1, and USC Upstate, 2-1. The Falls Church, Va., native recorded two goals against Winthrop before netting the game-winner against USC Upstate. He currently leads the CAA in goals, points and game-winning goals. The senior from Falls Church, Va. also ranks fifth in the nation in total goals.
Charleston, now 4-1-1, will return to CAA play on Saturday, September 19 at Elon. Action is set for 12:00 p.m.
