Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
Mission Statement: To enhance the total student-athlete experience by protecting student-athlete well-being and nurturing a positive student-athlete image. Provide an avenue of communication in which student-athletes and administrators discuss issues related to legislation, community service, and student-athlete welfare.

Responsibilities of all SAAC Members
- At least ONE member of your team MUST attend every SAAC meeting unless a valid excuse is provided. If we have absences from your sport for more than two meetings, new SAAC representatives will be found
- Bring team concerns to SAAC meetings to be discussed
- After each SAAC meeting, set aside a time during your next team meeting to give all updated to your team. Coaches will be aware that you need to do this and should provide you with the opportunity to address the rest of your teammates. After you complete this – email SAAC advisor to let them know you addressed the team
- All SAAC representatives should be willing to assist with SAAC events when needed
- If possible, SAAC representatives will serve for the duration of their undergraduate years to allow for continuity on the committee
Responsibilities of all E-board members
- Attend all SAAC and E-board meetings unless a valid excuse is provided
- Presence and participation in any SAAC programming event when needed
- Be an involved and active member of SAAC. You set the tone for the rest of the SAAC representatives
- Always set a positive example in the classroom, community and in your sport
- Hold each other accountable
