Cougars Fall in Home Bout Against Ole Miss

Charleston, S.C. - The College of Charleston women's soccer team fell 0-1 in their match against Ole Miss on Thursday at Patriots Point.
Goalkeeper Ainsley Chunn earned seven saves on the night, only one shy of her career best. Her first occurred in just the seventh minute of action, sliding in to deflect the shot towards the top of the box.
Chunn earned another save in the final seconds of the first half, making a stop on a free kick.
After a scoreless first half, Ole Miss got on the board with a goal in the 52nd minute.
Freshman Kassy Uzelman fired a shot in the 80th minute, but was blocked by a defender.
With a free kick by Ole Miss in the final minute, Chunn secured her seventh save, holding the Rebels to one goal on the night.
The Cougars are back in action this Sunday, August 23, at 1:00pm for their first away match of the season at Davidson.
