Transition to The College
Paws to Claws
A summer bridge for incoming College of Charleston student-athletes taking summer classes. The focus is on college-level academic success skills along with transitional student-athlete development topics.
Student-Athlete 101
A seminar series for incoming freshman student-athletes during each fall semester. S-A 101 integrates them into the life of a College of Charleston student-athlete. The program is designed to empower incoming freshman with the confidence to appropriately represent the College of Charleston, facilitate a stronger bond with the CofC athletics family and help freshman student-athletes navigate The College successfully.
Weekly Meetings
During the first semester SAAS advisors meet weekly with all first-time College of Charleston NCAA student-athletes. This encourages student-athletes to develop a strong identification of SAAS as a place of support while allowing staff to monitor student-athletes' transition to The College.
