2013: Appeared in all 16 games for the Cougars, 13 of which he started and averaged 73 minutes per competition on the season... contributed two critical assists on the season, both of which came in one-goal CofC victories.
2012: Appeared in nine matches and made one start… logged 183 minutes as a defender.
2011: Appeared in 10 matches while making four starts on the year... attempted two shot attempts... averaged over 38 minutes per game on the field as a defender.
Before Charleston: Currently plays club soccer for Mike Munoz and the US Soccer Academy Real Salt Lake U17/18 program... helped Real Salt Lake to the finals of the 2010 MLS SUM Cup... prior to joining Real Salt Lake, helped guide Gilbert Arsenal Premier to four Arizona state championships and the semifinals of the Region IV tournament... also won the 2009 Surf Cup (Calif.) championship with Gilbert... four year letterman at Hamilton High School in both soccer and football... guided soccer team to 2009-10 state finals and won a state championship with the football team in 2010... named to the all-state first team in 2009-10... named 2009-10 Great American Rivalry Series MVP.
Personal: Son of Lehua and Joseph Clay Jr... born January 20, 1993 ... one of two children, brother's name is Joseph Clay III.
