2013: Saw action in nine games as a sophomore… picked up her first career RBI with a sacrifice fly against Canisius on April 2.

2012: Saw limited time as a sophomore, appearing in four games and seeing just two plate appearances.

2011: Zavala proved her ability to operate in a variety of roles within the CofC softball program... saw time in six games and kept a .286 batting average on the year... roped a two-RBI double in the second game of the South Carolina State doubleheader which contributed to her impressive .429 slugging percentage... Zavala is a positive presence who brings energy to the team and will continue to be an integral part of the softball program at CofC.

Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School: Played three years of softball rotating between designated hitter and third base... won conference championships all three years, maintained a .404 batting average her senior year... earned first-team all-conference and second-team all-state honors... was also the secretary of the SADD Club and involved with Spirit Club, Helping Hands and Superdance...

Personal: Daughter of Pilar and Luis Zavala... currently undecided on major... came to Charleston for the opportunity to play Division I softball while still earning a high-quality education... volunteered over 250 hours at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
