The Cougars fall to 11-6 overall and 6-1 in the Southern Conference. It marked the first CofC loss in the conference this season.
The Paladins started the day off with a sweep over doubles to pick up the point entering singles play. Or Dekel, Timo Siebert and Philipp Koller took the singles wins, but Bastian Moldhenke, Arthur Peller and Liran Kling dropped their matches to give Furman the 4-3 edge. Two of Furman's three singles wins were in three sets.
Charleston travels next to East Tennessee State April 3rd for an 11:00 AM match.
