Bucs defeat College of Charleston, 6-1

The ETSU men's tennis team defeated former Southern Conference foe, College of Charleston, 6-1 at the Memorial Center in Johnson City on Sunday.
The Bucs are now 17-5 on the year while the Cougars fall to 15-2 with the loss, snapping a 15-match winning streak.
The Bucs took the lead early by winning the doubles point. In No. 1 doubles Oscar Posada (Valencia, Venezuela) and Juan Crosa (Asuncion, Paraguay) defeated Or Dekel and Marcus DiGliodo, 8-1 and Felix Insaurralde (Asuncion, Paraguay) and Lisandro Picardo (Mar del Plata, Argentina) defeated Mike Reynolds and Omer Abramovich, 8-5, at the No. 2 position to clench the doubles point. In the No. 3 doubles match Enrique Olivares (Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela) and Sebastian Serrano (Cartagena, Colombia) defeated James Petit and Justin Malina, 8-4.
In singles action, Oscar Posada was defeated by Or Dekel, 6-3, 2-6, 10-7, in the No. 1 slot, while Felix Insaurralde defeated Marcus DiGliodo, 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 2 position. In No. 3 singles, Juan Crosa defeated Justin Malina, 6-4, 6-1. In the No. 4 position, freshman Enrique Olivares defeated Omer Abramovich, 2-6, 6-3, 10-8, while in the No. 5 slot Lisandro Picardo defeated Mike Reynolds, 6-1, 6-1. Sophomore Sebastian Serrano defeated Perry Allen, 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 6 position.
ETSU's next match is scheduled for next Sunday, April 2nd when the Buccaneers travel to Rock Hill, S.C to take on Winthrop at 11:00 AM. Charleston hosts Belmont Abbey, Friday, March 31st, at 7:00.
