No. 57 CofC Men?s Tennis Drops SoCon Tournament Finals to No. 44 Elon, 4-1

The No. 57 College of Charleston men's tennis team dropped a heartbreaking 4-1 match to No. 44 Elon in the SoCon Tournament finals at the Earle Tennis Center on The Citadel campus in Charleston, S.C. on Apr. 22.

The loss drops CofC to 18-2, while Elon improves to 23-2.

Elon won two out of the three doubles matches to earn one team point.

The Phoenix won three singles matches to clinch the victory and the automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. CofC's lone singles victory in the match came courtesy of Justin Malina, who improved to 15-5 in singles matches this season with a 7-6, 6-0 win over Sebastian Bredberg in the No. 4 singles match.
