
Furman Beats CofC Men's Tennis, 5-2

Furman remained unbeaten in Southern Conference play and won its seventh straight match overall with its 5-2 victory over College of Charleston at the Tennis Center at Patriots Point on Tuesday.
The Cougars, who fell to 5-11 overall and 2-4 in league action, play host to Davidson at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Furman improved to 15-7 and 6-0. The Paladins are at Elon at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Furman grabbed a 1-0 lead winning two-of-three doubles matches. After Charleston earned an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles, Furman even doubles play with hard-fought 9-8 win at No. 2. Furman's Andy Juc and Bo Ladyman, the 67th-ranked doubles tandem in the country, secured the point with an 8-6 win at No. 1 over Charleston's Lukas Koncilia and Tom Delme.
Furman won four of six singles matches to secure the win. Charleston's two victories came from Koncilia at No. 2 and by Mickael Trintignac at No. 3.
Koncilia knocked off Ladyman 7-6, 2-6, 1-0, while Trintignac beat Daniel Knause 7-6, 6-4.
