
CofC Men?s Tennis Hosts Jacksonville State Monday

The Cougars (5-4, 1-0 SoCon) look to continue their momentum from Saturday's exciting 4-3 win over Southern Conference opponent Appalachian State. Junior Mickael Trintignac (Le Cannet, France) clinched the match with a 6-3 win in the third set to give the Cougars their 11th straight conference victory. The team is also 2-1 this year on its home court at Patriots Point.
Jacksonville State (5-6, 1-1 OVC) also won its defeated a conference opponent this past weekend, registering a 7-0 rout of Murray State of the Ohio Valley Conference on Friday. The Gamecocks are 0-2 against Southern Conference opponents, having fallen to Samford (7-0) and Chattanooga (5-2) earlier in the season. The team is led by Brian Kenyon who boasts a 6-5 singles record as the top seed and is 5-5 in doubles with partner Gustavo Holz.
CofC's Trintignac is currently riding a three-match win streak as the No.2 seed in singles and leads the team with a 7-2 record. Sophomore Kyle Parker (Richmond, Va.) has also performed will for the Cougars in singles competition, with a 5-4 record and playing primarily as a No. 4 seed. Doubles are led by Parker and his partner senior Lukas Koncilia (Tyrol, Austria), who are 5-3 from the top spot as well as third-seeded tandem Tom Delme (Hamoir, Belgium) and Stephen Hardy (Fairfax, Va.) who have compiled a 6-3 record.
